Jane & Mark

Happy Friday Everyone!

We’re at the end of the week, and I’m excited that I get to share my creations with you for Jane and Mark’s wedding. TGIF!! Am I right?

I love it when I have the opportunity to incorporate earthy elements into my designs. In this set, Tree Birch vases were used to add that organic feel to Jane & Mark’s Secret Garden themed wedding.

Flowers used: Natural Blue Hydrangeas, White Stocks, Roses, and Carnations

I usually don’t fancy incorporating Hydrangeas into bouquets due its nature of high demand for water. Ms. Thang, loves water! I guess you can say I have a love and hate relationship with this little lady. The reason why I love working with Hydrangeas is because they are very full in blooms. You can depend on them to show up and fill in the gaps when you need that full effect. However, she’s fragile and is very demanding. She’s opposite of the easy going Carnation that can prolong the life outside of water. Hydrangeas need to constantly be spritz with water; I call her a Diva. Hence it’s risky to have it in a bouquet form and out of the water. However, Jane loves Hydrangeas and have asked that I use hydrangeas in her bouquet and what my brides want, my brides get!

Jane’s bridesmaid accompanied her down the aisles in smaller bouquets made of White Roses, Carnations, and Lisianthus. Now, Carnation is one of my favorite flowers to work with. I’ll tell you more in a future post.
