Thuy & Nam

Hello and happy Friday!

Once again Peony season has left us, but not without leaving a lasting impression on yet another happy bride. Post wedding, Thuy had texted me, “I really love Peonies now! You did a great job on the cake.”

Thuy+NamWEDSP-17In my years of experience, Thuy was the first bride to have asked for three different centerpieces and had fully entrusted me to design them even prior to meeting with me face to face.

Thuy+NamWEDSP-21Hooray for a successful wedding!

Thuy+NamWEDSP-23The lovely bride and her peony filled bouquet. Also in the bouquet were Pink O’hara Roses, Lisianthus, and Eucalyptus.

IMG_8112This was my favorite piece in the wedding, because we were able to DYI the candle wraps rather than to have Thuy buy the candles from a local craft store. Our talented Tina had execute it perfectly, if not, better than the inspiring photo that was sent to us. Nailed it! I’m especially proud of this piece because we were able to save our bride money and still deliver the creative design she seeks.

IMG_8125I love my DIY (Do It Yourself) brides! Thuy had provided the Manzanita branches with lights pre-wrapped, and we completed centerpiece #1 with Hydrangeas, Roses and Eucalyptus.

IMG_8131Centerpiece #2 definitely brought the element of rustic to the tables. Thuy loved the criss cross birch vases the moment I presented it to her.

IMG_8138Centerpiece #3 was a surprise to Thuy. She provided the tin can vases not knowing what to expect. I added Myrtles and Snapdragons to add height to the piece. Hydrangeas provided that “umph” to the bottom for a luscious look.

IMG_8143Picture perfect! Our handcrafted, finished wood pedestals were a perfect fit for the Meet & Greet setup.

Thuy+NamWEDSP-27Although I didn’t partake in the wedding reception, I was told Thuy & Nam had performed a great dance routine for their guests. I immediately thought of the lyrics “And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance, I hope you dance,” from the song “I Hope You Dance” written by Tia Sillers. I wish you both the best of luck as you dance with each other through life from one stage to the next.

Thank you Martin Ngo Photography for sharing the beautiful images of the bride & groom, their bridal party, the cake, and making it so special for the couple and I.

Come back again soon!

Yours truly,
Anne
